These No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Energy Balls are the perfect snack food!  Not to mention a great option for a grab-and-go breakfast when you’re running out the door.  I’m so addicted to these and like keeping them in my refrigerator to grab throughout the week.

A snack so good that passes for a dessert is a win in my book!  To me, they taste like peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookie dough. You may have heard them called energy balls, power balls, protein bites, energy bites, or no-bake balls but no matter what you call them, they are a favorite breakfast or snack.

The fact that they are easy to make, and there’s no cooking involved, make these energy balls even more of a hit!

Another benefit of this delicious snack is that they are packed with fiber, protein, and healthy fats to keep you satisfied.

No-Bake Energy Balls Ingredients
  • Creamy Peanut Butter: I get the fresh ground peanut butter in the store but peanut butter in a jar works too!
  • Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips:  I’ve used mini and regular chocolate chips.  I love them both so it’s just personal preference.
  • Old Fashioned Oats:  I would not recommend using instant oats with this recipe.  I’ve only used old fashioned oats and they work great.
  • Honey:  Added for sweetness, but you can also use agave or pure maple syrup in place of honey.
  • Chia Seeds: I use chia and flaxseed with coconut and cocoa, so that is why mine might look darker than other ones you may have seen.
  • Vanilla Extract
How to Make Energy Balls
  • To make these No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Energy Balls, simply add all 5 ingredients in a medium-size bowl.
  • Stir together until combined.
  • Put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to chill so that they roll out easier.
  • Take out the chilled dough and roll into 12 balls.
Tips for No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Energy Balls
  • Store in a ziplock bag or an airtight container.
  • You can easily double the recipe if you need more than 12 balls for the week.  We usually do!
  • You can add 1-2 Tablespoons of water to the mixture if you are having trouble rolling them into balls.
  • The mixture is sticky so wetting your hands can help.

I hope you enjoy these great little energy balls!  If you make them, please leave a comment and let me know what you think!  Also, check out these other easy recipes Easy Mexican Bake and Wonton Pizza Crisps
